Is iron rich water hurting my plants?
    Hello~
I've been at my new place for 3 months now. The well water has LOTS of iron in it. I'm seeing the health of my plants declining. Wondering if it's just because it's winter~or could it be the excessive amounts of iron in the water?
The shower and toilet have rust stains~I'm talkin' a lot of iron.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you!

I'm no plant expert so take this any way you want it.

I had such a problem with plants. I also had a problem with keeping fish alive which is something that never gave me issues until I got to where I am living now. I had fish for most of my life and always had healthy tanks with no problems. I moved and then started having issues, even with plants. My current house uses well water and I also get the brown rust stains.

My solution... I switched to using bottled water. I buy the gallon jugs from Walmart with a blue label (I think it is Spring Water)... costs about 70 cents. Problem solved. It might be worth a try and see if your plants recover.

Thank you. I bet iron IS the issue. I'll give it a try. :) Thanks again.
