6 month old with the flu
My 6 month old son was just diagnosed with the flu. Dr prescribed him Tamiflu. The problem is no pharmacy around has the liquid form. They are all sold out. Can I get the capsule form, break it open and put it in his baby food?

No absolutely not! Tamiflu can be ordered by your pharmacy, but it is not necessary to get over the flu as the flu is a virus and will run it's course without medication.

Have the pharmacy order it and they can probably get it tomorrow. Or call around until you find a pharmacy that has it in stock. You can call the doctor as well and see if they have samples to tide you over.

Absolutely do NOT try to use capsules for an infant.
