Mower stuck in reverse. All gear links look good and are functioning smoothly. Have removed rear cover. Does this mower take tranny fluid? Where is the access cover/screw? Any help would be appreciated.

Some initial questions. Did you adjust the brakes; over-tightening the brakes has caused this to no end, as well as, difficult shifting? Have you tried to rock the machine backwards and forwards to shift it (engine not running?) Is the lever stuck in the reverse position? There could be more, but please clarify. I say this since the machine has gears for forward, which by the nature of gears reverse their direction because of their nature. Reverse is achieved by a chain drive that turns in the same direction; hence the difference between forward and reverse is achieved.
