Hello,
I just installed a new tub spout with diverter. When I run the water just from the tub spout there is no leaking, but when I lift the diverter to run the water from the shower head, there is a leak from what may be coming from the caulk where the tub meets the tile shower wall just underneath the tub spout. Any ideas why and/or how to fix? When I was assembling the tub spout the directions say something like that the stub out nipple needs to be 1/2" to 3/4" coming out from the wall and mine is maybe less than a 1/2". Also, I used the reducer adapter that came in the package and one or more of the prongs on that may have broke off. And then when I was turning the tub spout on to the extension nipple, I tightened too hard maybe and there was maybe a snap and the reducer adapter came off the stub out nipple and was screwed up deep into the extension nipple. I took the reducer adapter back out and redid everything and now I have the leak where I said previously. Any ideas? Thanks
