I drank 3 glasses of wine Saturday night. Today is Tuesday, and I must take an EtG urine screen at 2:30PM, approximately 60 hours post-consumption. I worked Sunday, but I worked out yesterday as well as today. I have been drinking a lot of fluids (water, powerade, etc.) in the last 12-24 hours. Will I pass the EtG drug urine screen today and show no alcohol/EtG?

I should also note the wine I drank was a sweet red (12.5%). I purchased a large/economy bottle which, I believe, is equivalent to two normal sized bottles. I drank 3/4 of the bottle Friday (maybe equal to 9 glasses?) and the remaining 1/4 of the bottle Saturday (which is why I estimated 3 glasses -- assuming 12 glasses per whole bottle, or 6 glasses per one regular sized bottle).

I should add that I am a 28 year old female, approximately 135 pounds, 5'4", and works out pretty regularly, although less the last few weeks due to work.

Hmm tough to say.. for your workout. What exactly did you do?

DrBill is no longer available and we're not sure if he will return. We do have several medical (and knowledgeable in other ways) people here who will possibly be able to answer your question.

If you were so worried you would stop drinkiing... so stop pretending and deal with what happens. Maybe you NEED to fail to face the fact you have a problem you refuse to deal with.

Because you have asked this before and weren't happy with the answers I reported it as you are allowed only ONE thread on a question.

I am saddened to hear that. I have seen throughout the site how helpful he has been to others. It seems he was always there to help others with their questions/concerns.

Am I wrong about the purpose of this site? I thought it was a place for people to ask questions. Not be judged, preached at and/or personally attacked. If you don't like questions, have the answer, or are annoyed by the questions asked why even bother replying? Some people have enough to worry about with this stuff and don't really need others adding insult to injury. Maybe someone should report you for personally attacking someone and just being down right rude.

You are correct. The purpose of this site is to ask questions. However, we will not help members circumnavigate the system. If they are not supposed to drink due to jobs or court order, etc. we are not permitted to teach them how to get around their tests.

I agree 100% on not teaching members to get around their tests and/or not helping to circumnavigate the system. I joined to become educated on EtG testing, what it entails, etc. certainly not to learn how to cheat, beat the system, or be judged. Reading the questions and answers on here has certainly helped me to better understand. I just felt like Smoothy's response to this member's question was not to answer their question but to personally attack them because he/she doesn't agree with a choice they made. Thank you for your response, I appreciate it.

That's just it. Most of the posters are asking us how to cheat/beat the system.

Few are here because they had a few drinks over the weekend then went to a job interview on Monday only to find out that testing is involved. The vast majority know that they aren't to drink yet do so then come here asking how to "beat the system." It gets frustrating, you know. ;) Smoothy's response has been removed as it violated the TOS of the site.

I call this the Dear Abby syndrome. People ask questions that they should not ask, like how to do something illegal. Dear Abby was, at times, critical of such people.

Yes this site is about asking questions, but there are rules about the type of questions and how they can be answered. This site is a bit different because we try to be honest with the poster. The truth can sometimes be brutal. Making judgments is part of the process. That doesn't mean we allow personal attacks (that's what the report function is for). But we do put more sense and emotion into answers here.

Most of the EtG questions I've seen are about "I drank x much over the weekend and have been tested (or will take a test) on a certain day. Will I pass?" not "How can I beat the system when I get tested?"

I've posted this before and no doubt I'll post it again. I stay off this thread for the most part because my father was killed by a drunk driver who had a history in treatment centers. It's difficult to be neutral on this subject.

I find threads which discuss being "well hydrated" to the extent that the person fails the test to be watering down and advice to do so (water down) to be advice concerning circumventing the system.

I've seen/heard the "I'm an alcoholic, I hate liquor/alcohol, I made a mistake" argument before.

At one point I referenced several posts which were, "What if I ...," not "I did and will I pass?" The statistics about who is asking after abusing and who is asking before - I have no idea.

I can't see the comments which were removed, of course, but I do understand the frustration on occasion, particularly when a person is posting "advice" on one thread and discussing "watering down" on another.

Also, just for clarification, a "large economy" bottle of wine is 48 ounces or 6 8-ounce cups. I drank "X glasses" really doesn't define how much alcohol was consumed. 48 ounces is self explanatory. "X glasses" is not.
