I have soap residue still left in my clothes even after rinsing 2-3 times. I tried rinsing with vinegar and it still leaves a mess in my clothes. It is a Sears Kenmore washer -- Heavy Duty 80 Series. I use the same detergent (liquid) that I have used for 2-3 years. We have cleaned the tub to remove any leftover suds that collects around the top. Any suggestions??

Are you positive that it's spinning and rinsing as it should?

I personally would switch detergents.
