    NJ unemployment insurance
I need to know how to contact the help desk at the NJ unemployment office. I recently retired and was told that I could collect unemployment; however when I went online to try to file I was told that I needed to contact the help desk. Does anyone know how to contact them?

Don't know but most state require to to have been terminated from your employement due to no choice of your own... retireing is a choice and would disqualify you from collecting unemployment in at least most states.

The phrase "I recently retired" is inconsistent with the concept of unemployment benefits. You cannot collect unemployment benefits unless you were involuntarily separated from your job (fired) or quit voluntarily due to a "good cause connected with the work." Retiring generally does not qualify. But if you want to try anyway - I suggest you use the on-line system to file a claim here:
Department of Labor and Workforce Development | File Unemployment Claim
They will then schedule an interview where you can state your case as to why your retirement was not truly voluntary, and see if you qualify.
