The issue is, there may or may not be a real person by that name, often they steal and use other peoples ID's, or they buy some paper work and then photo shop various photos on them.

There are large businesses with many people working 3 shifts a day, doing nothing but pretending to be beautiful girls wanting to come to US, Canada or Europe. They will ask for various amounts of money. From 1000's to 100 or less, but if some money is sent, they have reasons for more, illness, robbery, crooked officials and more.
