I met a young lady from Ghana.
She wants to come to the USA and she wants money for a visa. She says it cost 320 dollars according to her and her pastor. Is she telling me the truth

No she's playing you for a fool. Run as far away from them as you can... its a scam. She's not being honest.. and her "Pastor" isn't a pastor at all.

I actually have been there and met her. This visa fee from Ghana to USA they say is 320 dollars. It seems too high. They are on willing to show me the visa. I'm wondering if I should report them to the police

Don't trust her. Most of these women are scammers.

Police won't do anything about this.

They have REALLY played you for a fool... face it... forget about her and move on while you still have money left.

If you met her... what proof do you have she is not meeting other people under a dozen different names... what proof do you have she is even the same person you have been corresponding with on the internet... I guarantee you you aren't the only one she's been asking money from and talking to.

There are tons of local women you know are real and not scamming you... Practically anyone you deal with in Africa.. and especially Ghana and Nigeria are scamming you.

No 320 US dollars is the current real cost for a Ghana passport and a US visa.

This is the tourist visa.

If you were actually in Ghana and actually meet her face to face, and was at the Church where the pastor preaches at. Then it may be real.

*** There are real people that will come to US.

And 320 is the real cost.

They can not show you the visa till they pay for it

These are often scams, perhaps offer to pay the pastor back as soon as the girl is in the US, and see what they say.

In Ghana how did you meet ? How do you communite with this girl, do you use skype so that you also see her to be sure it is the same girl.


I will be honest, best bet, go back, and bring her home with you.

Here in China I could ( if I was single) and a few don't care I am married, either marry or just take back to the US any of a dozen girls, I had one yesterday tell me she would go back to US with me.

If you are thinking you are going to marry her and it's that simple think again... the Tourist Visa only lets her visit for a limited period.. then she's GOT to leave... she can't convert it... so don't think you get married and she gets a green card.. nope she's got to go back and then she's got to apply for an immigrations Visa... qualify and deal with the long waiting list and quotas... and years from now she MIGHT get lucky...
