    Breaking a lease
My wife and I are residents in Kentucky and we are in the middle of a lease and are breaking it due to changes that we aren't happy with in our complex. The want us to buy out at $1900.00 I am trying to not pay this because of maintenance having to do repeat repairs and the are often slow at getting to them as well as just not feeling welcome. My question is I was looking over our lease renewal and management did not sign the lease. Does this Void My lease since all parties did not sign it?

    Please help me

    Hello roy:

Yeah, but they probably signed their copy, and that's all they need.

Not normally what you get is a copy, and theyhae the original, ( which would be signed I am sure if an issue came up)

And a offer to buy out lease for 1900 does not sound real bad ( depending on the monthly rental) since they really could hold you to the full rental for the term of the lease.

Dissatisfaction with the speed repairs are made is not grounds for breaking a lease. If repairs are NOT made at all creating an unlivable condition, then you might have grounds. If they are offering a buyout, take it and count yourself lucky.
