Is it right for boys to easily leave their girlfriends?
My boyfriend and me were in love for almost 5 years. Initially the relationship was so good so lovely later we had fights for silly issues like we both being too possessive over each other. I had given up many things for him. We had a breakup (it was solely his decision) 8 months back because we fought too much. Then he came back after a month. We started solving the issues we had but from the beginning he had a fear about telling this to his parents.

He told his mom. He tried to convince her but she never agreed. I had convinced my family we both belong to different religion and community. His mother is too sensitive and she didn't agree till the end. His father fell ill last month (he is not aware of the relationship). He gave up on me telling me he didn't want to kill his father for marrying me. He said its better we separate and be kids to our parents. He told he ll change his mobile number and asked me also to change mine. He could get over me so easily. I'm not able to do it I even quit my job for him but I understand he is helpless. I don want to mess up his life but I need a way to get over him.

How old are you now and how old were you when the relationship started?

He is obviously not ready to break away from his family. I would not give up or change anything else for him. Keep your Mobile number, go back to your job if you can and leave him completely alone. I know it will probably be hard but you need to do it.

OK, So you were adults when you started. After 5 years I would have assumed the "in-laws" issues would have been resolved.

I think when you start working and are occupied with other things and people, it will be easier.
