I have been having a light and short something that seems to be a period. However, my normal period is like 5-6 days long and this is like 3-4 days. I have a swollen and tender breast. Lower back pain, frequent urination, and a increase appetite. But I received a negative home pregnancy test. What could be wrong?

Pregnancy testing too early perhaps.

When was the period due, you know you can't test till about 14 days after the missed ( or short) period.

Also it can be infections, std, other illness or just no reason known just happens.

Missing light, longer and other periods just happen sometimes.
