My father in law has stage 1 cml. His doctor wants him to do chemo but he isn't sure. Could he lose his battle with the cancer faster if he does chemo at this stage?

I am concerned that you would take the advice of Internet strangers over the advice of a Physician who is familiar with the patient and his condition. I would contact a Cancer Specialist, Cancer Center - or get another opinion from another Physician.
