Recently my boyfriend and I have had the same experience that we cannot explain. Both of us have experienced this prior, but not together.
He woke me up and was frightened, he said he was yelling "help" but no sound came from his voice, he felt like something was either picking him up, or dropping him really fast. And he had no control over his body... less.than a half an hour later, I fell asleep and experienced the almost exact thing... I felt like my soul was being taken from me.
Can anyone tell me what this was, and what to do?

Also, nobody can take your soul. Don't confuse spirit and soul... they are different things altogether. I'm not a doctor by any means... but I would find it odd if you both had the same episode.

Give it some time. It certainly never hurts to contact a doctor to look into sleep paralysis. If it doesn't happen again, great. If it continues for you both of you I suggest you look to the church for help.
