I have a Goodman GMP075-4 Furnace Heater. When the thermostat is turned up, the heating element/ignitor glows red hot, but the burners will not ignite. I suppose there is some kind of safety device that determines if there is enough heat present before allowing the gas to flow to the burners. But I don't see any probe near the ignitor. Any ideas or suggestions?

Make sure the gas valve is set to "on" & any manual valves in the gas piping system are turned on . Do you get any blinking light on the control board when the furnace fails to light? If so, how many blinks between pauses?
