    Visitation
Well the mother of my first child who is a boy and is now 12 that I haven't seen since he was 3 and a half. I have been paying child support for about 9 years off and on and now I am paying again. She lives in Virginia and now I live in California. We both stayed in Ohio and I had a visitation order in Ohio that was made in 2002. Is there any way that the courts will let me get in touch with him again?

Since you both have moved from OH you will probably need to file for a new visitation order in VA courts.

You would have to retain a CA attorney with an affiliate in VA to appear for you. You can request a telephonic hearing. However, since you have not tried to use your visitation for so long you will have a better chance if you show up for the hearing.

There are a lot of things that could happen. One possible scenario is that you will have to come to VA for supervised visits for a while. It will be a string probability that you will have to pay travel expenses for the child to visit you once allowed.

You can ask for regular Skype visits or phone visits. Its definitely something the courts are amenable to.

You would start by asking to enforce the Ohio visitation order. If the mother refuses, then ask the Ohio court to have her show cause why she should not be held in contempt of court.

"... back u. Ohio?" What does that mean? You would you file it in the Ohio court which entered the visitation order.

Yes, you can ask for the child visit order to be enforced. Unless changed, if you had a visit order it is still valid.

Off and on is not paying support, are you working out a plan to pay the back support
