I am trying to identify a movie which my mum saw years ago from a rough sketch any help appreciated. It goes like this. Father becomes estranged from family due to drink problem? And his son becomes famous musician? Or singer? Father watches family grow up from a distance and eventually sees son perform but does not introduce himself as he is too ashamed. Might be a Christmas theme in the movie also? I know it's sketchy but that's all I have. Thanks
