    First, its not a good idea to piggyback your question on another thread. To avoid confusion I've moved your question ot its own thread.

    Second, what makes you think you can sign over your rights? There is this myth that a parent can just do that. But its just a myth. If you read the other thread you would have seen that.

    The other parent is remarried and has been for one year. The new partner wants to adopt the child. Then and only then can you "sign over rights" to the new partner to adopt.

    Also TN is one of the states that will put someone in jail fairly quickly for non payment of child support, so be sure to keep the support payments up
