OK guys so my friend is in immigration court. He got caught for his fifth drunk driving so now immigration got involved. He came here from mexico and has 2 kids and a wife and they were all born here in the usa. He got in trouble for some other stuff before but nothing as big as this. He did not get convicted yet for the last dui so what do you think his chance is that he can stay here with his family?

Slim... particularly with Multiple charges... because they are cracking down on this crap... there is NEVER a justification to be drinking and driving even once. It's a serious crime that can land him in jail.. and hopefully it will.

If your friend WAS here legally with a green card... thats more than enough cause to have the green card revoked.

Its going to show that he still has an outstanding charge that hasn't been to court when he goes for the first one... and they are going to throw the book at him.

The fact he has kids will not change anything... drunks kill other people with kids and sometimes those kids too every day...

Highly unlikley he will get it dismissed with priors... its essentially impossible he will lget both dismissed.

We've had some VERY high profile cases where drunk illegals (and green card holders) have run down and killed innocent people in the news in my part of the country. I have no sympathy... I've even grown up with several people thrown in prison for that. No sympathy for them either.

Five previous DUI's?. I personally hope he does serious time before he is deported, before his luck runs out and he kills someone.

I'm ex Homeland Security. I'm amazed he's still in the US.

I think he'll be deported.
