My girlfriend bought a mobile home in Californiafrom a mutual friend 6 years ago... he is no longer our friend... he never gave her title or registration... we now need it to do repairs (state permit). There us no evidence of a Vin anywhere on it or in it... its an older place (1960s)... is there a way in cali to get a registration or paperwork without a Vin or anything? All we have is a hand written bill of sale.

Contact the manufacturer to see where the VIN might be. The bill of sale should be enough to get title in her name provided you can identify the home.
