    Allowed deductions for disabled dependent
Other than medical expenses, what other expenses are allowed for the care and upkeep of a totally disabled person? She lives at home and depends on others for all of her needs. There are many supplies and necessities required daily, I need to know what I can deduct. Thank you!

Any expense that goes toward her health and welfare can probably be deducted as a medical expense, PLUS you can claim her as a dependent and use her dependency status to file as Head of Household if she is a relative under the IRS guidelines..
