Pumped my tank about 2months ago now it back full. But its mainly water no solids hardly. The Guy who pumped it last said it was full with grease. But we haven't been putting any grease down the drain since. Could it be the pipe between tanks are clogged?

If you had been putting grease down it for a long period... its possible you have screwed up the leech field where the effluent from the septic tank flows to seep into the ground after it does its thing. And that can be very expensive...

I doubt that cause my yard stays green and grass thick. I have a snake do u think I could snake the pipe between the tanks?

I'm curious what you mean by between tanks... there few I've seen have been a single tank which then feeds to the leech field.

I have two tanks. I'm guessing the first tank is for the solids and second tank is for the water. Is that the (leech field) you are talking about?

Its possible you don't have a leech field and that second tank ammounts to a holding tank that needs pumped... if you have a leech field that is usually buried pipes designed to leak into a gravel bed that disburses into the ground after passing through the septic tank where the bacteria digests the nasty stuff.

Ok I got you now. I have a leech veils about a 3 to 4 inch pipe leading out to my yard. Bit it's there a pipe between the 2 tanks?

Probibly... they should be able to see it at the top of the tank when the lid is off for pumping... but by all means have it snaked first... digging up a leech bed is something you only do as a last resort.

I have a 25ft snake do you think that will work?

Don't know, how far apart are your tanks? Its worth a shot.. maybe you will be lucky and it will be closer than that... before you go rent a bigger one or pay someone to do it for you.

I can't see the pipe going from tank to tank. But I took off the other lid and found out that the back tank is for the solids cause that's what I seen. But I noticed the pipe leading into my yard. Its white about 4 inches diameter. But the water is trying to flow out. I sprayed up in the with my water hose. But when I spray in the pipe coming from the house to the tank. White clobbs of something came out.

But I still don't get it. I been here since 2008 just had my septic tank pumped for the first time this November and its full again. That pipe that drains to the yard must be clogged

Try and snake it.. if three is a tree anywhere near there it can be cloggged with hairlike roots

Ok hopefully it works. Far as tree's I wish I did have some in the back yard.

Depending on how dry it is and the type... trees can run feeder routs a substantial distance..

Sounds like you may have a Hoot System, (see image) Is that what you have? If not the you HAVE to have a leach field to filter out the water from the second tank. If you don't really know what type of septic system you have it's time to call ion outside help. And I'd get another septic tank company, Good luck, Tom

It appears that your concern is the fact that the tank is full. Septic tanks are always full, they don't begin to work until they are full. The pipe that the water flows out is only slightly below the pipe that the water flow in from.

I had answered on the assumption that it was full of solid waste... not just liquid. Perhaps that would have been better to ask first... as in what was being pumped out for clarification.

Read all posts and agree a septic tank is always full of liquid. I don't see where you tell us your problem other than its full. What's not working? Where do you live?
