My shallow well had to be blowen and I want to know if it will need a foot valve. It has a new check valve on the suction (well) line at ground level.

It will need a footvalve. They are cheap. No big deal.

What do you mean when you state, "had to be blowen"?

A foot and a check valve perform the same function. If you have one you don't need the other, Good luck, Tom

I prefer to see a foot valve in the well rather than a check at the pump. Both is fine, but if your only going to have one, go with the foot valve. Makes priming the pump much easier.
