    Bath faucets still runs water
Replaced washers and seats on my 3 handle tub faucet and now water comes out of the stems when I turn it on. Please help what have I done wrong? No o-rings required just washers. I also threaded the seatS and stems before reinserting them.

The faucet also still drips a little but not as bad as before. I was running none stop. Water bill has doubled.

    Thx in advance

What do you mean you threaded the seats and stems?

Faucet should not leak at all if you replaced washers and seats.

Thank you so much hkstroud! You are brilliant. That may have been the initial problem. May not have needed new seats and washers after all. Dang! Should have checked here first. Well I will look at the bright side, I have new seats so I should be set for at least 2years right? 40 yr old house making repairs one step at a time.
