    Tire size
I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 4x4 with the off road package. My tires now are 265/70/17. I was wanting to know how big of a tire could I get without scrubbing or causing any damage. The tires I have now look like bicycle tires. They just don't fill the gap.

Dodge will tell you that you can't increase the tire size. Check with several tire dealer to see what their data shows. Many dealers are very hesitant to say you can increase the size due to liability, your Ram was designed for 265/70/17 only. My personal experience is that you can go up one or two tire sizes without trouble but any increase can cause a rub and/or change the driving characteristics of the truck. It may also change the accuracy of your speedometer.

Changing tire sizes can also cause premature wheel bearing failure, which can be disastrous.
