Convert tourist visa to permanent resident
I have tourist visa until May 2013. My boyfriend is a US citizen and he lives in Houston, Texas. We want to get married. The problem is I'm going through the divorce and the divorce certificate will be issued in January.

I want to know is there a wait time between 2 marriages? If I get married in March or April 2013 before my tourist visa expired, is there any problem to convert tourist visa to permanent resident.

    Thanks for your advice.

They DON'T convert at all... you have to apply for the right one and qualify for it along with all waiting periods, quotas and there is NO guarantee one will even be issued.

Marrying a US citizen is no guarantee you will ever get on either.

In TX, you have to wait for 30 days before remarried.

There is no conversion on your visa. You must start from here:
USCIS - I-130, Petition for Alien Relative
