Light pull chain in ceiling fan
I have just moved in to a need house and one of the fans does not have a switch in it for the lights so I have to unscrew the lights every time I just want the fan on the wire colors are white, white, blue, black how do I add a pull chain for the light. Every web site I pull up has no pictures and its hard to understand some times

If I missed spelled anything I apologize.

If the fan has a light kit there should be a pull chain for it. If not, you will need to drill a hole in the light canopy, use a single pole pull switch mounted through the canopy and intercept the light wire, usually blue. Are you sure this isn't a remote controlled fan?

The Black should be your fan wire, and blue for the light, If in conduit, and you can get a second switch leg(1 wire for fan, and 1 wire for light), then you could use a combination light/fan slide control.
If you are lucky, you may have both switchlegs tied together at the switch box.
    Or use a stacked switch.
I always pull 2 switchlegs for fans?

Are you renting or did you buy this home? Ceiling fans are not installed without controls, there may be a remote that has not been given to you. You are unscrewing the bulbs but how do you get the fan to spin?

How are you turning the Fan on and off?
Some have No wall switches or controls, just pullchains.
If they don't have pullchains, they usually work by remote.
If a remote unit and no pull chains, the Light can easily bypass the receiver and receive voltage from a wall switch.
