Water heater shutting off when it rains
My water heater shuts off, including the pilot, when it rains. The unit is a Rheem and it's fairly new. I already replaced it once for the same reason thinking that the unit was bad. Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Jeff

Is it Gravity Vented w/h or Direct Vent ( with motor on top ) w/h ?

How sure are you the malfunction correlates with rains ?

    Back to you. Milo

Please answer Milo's questions here. If it is natural draft vented water heater and the rain is actually causing the issue, check to make sure you have a vent top on the vent that exits the house. Also, incorrect sizing of the vent can cause excessive condensation which can come down the vent and drip onto the pilot, putting it out.
