Lump on back of the head and birthmark/face
My baby is 9 months old. One day I was feeling on the back of her neck I felt a lump on the back of her head near her ear. Could this be serious. Should I take her to see her pediatric? One more thing, my daughter has a birthmark/mole on her face, could this be cancer?

    Hello

About the Mole on her face I don't think that would be cancer I had one on my belly down where you get your period cramps and I had it removed I was born with it and it wasn't cancer and my mother has one on her right cheek on her face they are not cancer its just something you are born with I didn't like mine and I went and got it removed and the bump behind her ear could be from anything really she could have hit it but it would be safe it you went and got her looked at just to make sure don't be scared its pretty normal

I will start with the lump. Has your baby been ill recently? It is possible that it is nothing more than a swollen lymph node.

As for the birthmark. Chances are it is not cancer. You should sunscreen on her to prevent it from turning cancerous though. And maybe consider removal.

With all that said. Never fool with the health of your baby. If you ever have any questions about their health it is in their best interest to contact your pediatrician and have it checked out.

So, please for your own peace of mind, make an appointment to have this lump checked out and maybe discuss the removal of the birthmark.
