Simple outdoor power point not working correctly??
Hi there, please help, I have wired many of these in the past but for some reason, its not working out (really confused), I have connected a single outdoor 10A switch with a power cable -3 core, through a 20 mm flexible conduit, of 1.3mt, through a brick wall and connected it to the back of a std inside wall double power point as I have done many times before, checked wiring (colours) all correct on both sides!
There is power in the cable to the switch- flick the switch on, then the power travels to the Outdoor water pump, (only a small pump) goes through the pump, but no action,?
Plugged another item to the power point ,switch it on No power at all? What?
Please help, surely not a faulty cable(which is new)!
I have bought a 3rd new power point just in case but---NO!
Cheers if you have the answer,
    Regards Ant

Need to use a volt meter and a continuity tester on the cables, etc, to determine where the voltage is stopping.

Without using a test instrument, you, and us, will be only guessing.
