    Heat Pump Thermostat
I have a Heat Pump by Unitary Products, Model F2FP036N06B with a White-Rodgers thermostat, Type No. 1F89-11. The 5 amp fuse controlling the thermostat has blown three times in the last 24 hours. After replacing the fuse, everything seems to work normally for a few hours before it blows another fuse. Is this problem likely to be the thermostat or some more serious problem?

    Any help will be appreciated.

I do not think it is the thermostat. It sounds like you have a intermittent short. I would check out all low voltage wires to see if they are shorting including the thermostat wiring. You can also check the wires in the unit for shorts also.
