Am I eligible for British Passport?
Hi there, I have a question.. I'm born on 13/08/1983 in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.. my father is British and my mother is South African, I am wondering if I am entitled to a british citizenship from my fathers side, I was born out of marriage and my parents are no longer together, he is not on the birth certificate as my father, yet he has admitted in court to that. Am I eligible for a british passport?

You would be eligible if your father was on your birth certificate, but admitting to paternity in court will not get you there. Is there anything in writing stating he is your bio father ?

Well there was a hearing in court, in south africa.. where he's been admitting to being my father and that he'd pay maintenance, I'm sure they'll have it on record..

You'll need more than that, a DNA test as a minimum..

You are over 18 years old and no longer eligible to claim British citizenship through your father.
