Hot tap is only hot when put on slowly
Hi everyone, first of all I have no experience with anything to do with plumbing so please bare with me lol.
My hot tap for the bath will only produce hot water if run very very slowly, all the other taps in my house run fine. Running the hot tap full-whack produces luke warm / cold water and it takes ages to run a hot bath. Also I seem to be getting air in the pipes as they vibrate from time to time, putting it on full relieves this but just thought I'd add it in, in case it helps the diagnosis!
    Any ideas?
    Thank you.

    Hi ohmytap

What heats your water? If you are on a tankless coil off a boiler then it is possible that the coil has gotten clogged up and only shows as a real issue when you run a fixture that uses a high volume of hot water. Have you checked the washing machine and how hot water flows there?

Also, need to know how many handles your tub/shower valve has, OK?

    Back to you...
