Ask Me Help Desk - Bleeding but not my period yet?

I'm sorry if this has been discussed before, I just need some advice.
I am om birth control, but last week and the week before I skipped a few pills and when I took them, wasn't at the same time every nigh (I'm working as a waitress and was at work in the evenings those 2 weeks)
Last week Thursday and Friday me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex (so it was about a week and 2/3 days ago)
These past couple of days, I've been having some cramps (like PMS cramps) and yesterday I went horse riding and I started getting backache and the cramps got worse. Today, I saw that I am bleeding, it is very little though (not even necessary for a pad) and it's like light brown. My period isn't due for another week. What can this mean? Could it be that the 3 nights I skipped my pill and the nights I took it earlier/later really messed me up so bad?

Anyone? HELP!

Update: Bleeding only lasted for a couple hours yesterday (it didn't even leak, just when I wiped, and a teeny tiny mark in my underwear) cramps is still here. This morning when I woke and went to the bathroom, again, very, very little bit of brownish mucus when I wipe. Still cramping and have a heavy headache that's not breaking. What's up with this?

I really need some advice now! I can only get a doc appointment for Thursday so until then, any help/advice will really be appreciated!

Today is Wednesday so new update:
The spotting stopped yesterday. It didn't get heavier. Since Monday night, I got weird cramps in my lower left abdomen. Sometimes a bit higher up than PMS cramps and other times at the same spot but they didn't feel like PMS cramps anymore. It was more like a "shooting pain" the whole time. Headache broke slightly yesterday but still comes and goes the whole time. I am windy and my stomach feels a bit funny (like it's turning and I want to get nauseous but luckily I don't get nauseous) I am not constipated and I go to the bathroom like normal and nothing is different in that section. I peed quite a lot more these past 3 days but that was probably just because of the spotting.
Doctor postponed my appointment until Friday so any advice for now would be great?
Period is due to start on Sunday/Monday

Other info: My because pills include 21 yellow/"active" pills and 7 white/"inactive" pills.
This is my second month on the pills so basically my second pack of pill.
I skipped 3 of the yellow pills that time.
I try to take my pills more or less at the same time every night but working as a waitress in shifts day and night sometimes make it hard but I try. For the past week and 5 days I didn't have any intercourse (last time was that Friday I mentioned in my first post)
Also try my best to track my BBT. It was still at 36.6•Celsius this morning (10/11 days after ovulation)

Any ideas?

This issue is, that it can very well be pregnancy, this is common signs for it,
1. Birth control when taken just right, does not work 100 percent, so many get pregnant while taking birth control
2. the more pills you miss, and the off timing of taking them, make them less and less effective. They most likely had much less protection they way you did it.

But the problem is that missing them will also give you the same effect.

The only way to know if you are pregnant, wait till the date of your normal period, if you have it, then most likley you are not pregnant. If you miss the next period, then wait 10 days and do a HPT.

There is not for sure answer, but it does match pregnancy fairly well

Thank you very much for the reply, guess I'll have to wait a few more days and see what happens. Just have one more question now, IF I am pregnant. I know I'll obviously not get another cycle of birth control anymore but in my current pack, I still have a little more than a week of pills left to take. Should I finish this cycle? Or should I stop now? Or maybe by around Tuesday if I don't get my period? Will it be harmful for the baby IF I am pregnant if I finish this cycle?

You can finish the cycle of birth control and see what happens.

Uhhh, can not wait to get to the doctor tomorrow. Spotting started again last night. Cramp like pains still here. Headache seems broken at least but still feels like a thousand little spiders are moving around in my stomach. Will keep updating as to what doc says tomorrow and what happens next week

New update:

Didn't go to the doctor on Friday, decided to first wait and see if my period arrives. Besides, the pain and spotting didn't get worse anyway. On Friday, the spotting was completely gone and still hasn't "come back" no sign of period as well yet. The pain in my abdomen is quite strange. Feels like stretching (if you can put it that way) my appetite has increased a lot. This morning I woke up with a terrible headache (worse than I ever had it last week) and if I lay a certain way my back aches. I can't stand the smell of cigarettes anymore (not a smoker but my parents and boyfriend smokes - makes me want to slap them lol) and also, still have that funny feeling like "I'm going to get nauseous any second now, but I don't get nauseous) I noticed some dark blue veins on my breasts. Breasts still a tiny bit sore as well. I will let you guys know if my period does happen to come on or what happens :)
