I dropped Hampton Bay remote and fan and light dimmer stopped responding. Replaced the remote with a new one and now fan works but light dimmer turns the lights on to one low dim setting. Any help will be appreciated.

It sounds like you have a bad remote. These remotes can be fixed if the problem is due to spilled liquids, the most common problem, but when the chip is bad you have to replace it. I just replaced a remote that went out suddenly, the first time it has ever happened to me. Make sure to clean any dust off fan that may block the infra-red signal.
