Hey guys, I really like this girl that I've known for a year and a half. We're in high school. I know that she likes me too. I want to ask her to be my girlfriend, but I don't want it to sound lame. Any advise on how to ask her romantically?

First off... you ARE going to sound lame.. incredibly lame. Why... you don't ask someone you've never dated before to be a girlfriend... you don't ask someone you never met to marry you right off the bat. That's the same thing only exaggerated a bit.

You HAVE to date her for a while before you even know there is enough there before you take the second step that is being boyfriend-girlfriend.

First you ask her to a movie. Then you ask her to hang out on Friday night, etc. Do this for a few months then ask her if she wants to be exclusive.

Ask her to the movies and see how it goes from there

Agreed. Just because you like each other it doesn't mean you can jump into being boyfriend and girlfriend. You need to ask her on a date first and see if there is chemistry.
