I have been having brown discharge for the past 8 days. It has increased in amount since the first day. It isn't smelly nor does my vaginal area itch. I am sexually active but I haven't had any intercourse since October. My periods were never clockwork and the last periods I had in November ended within 4 days. Can anyone tell me what's wrong with me, because its driving me up the wall.

Brown blood is old blood. It's usually your body cleaning itself out, which is the best way I can describe it. But, having said that, many women that are pregnant have brown discharge during the early part of pregnancy.

You said you haven't been sexually active since October. Have you had your periods since October, before this brown discharge?

Yes I did hv periods in November.. but they lasted only 4 days

But it was a normal period?

Try a pregnancy test using first morning urine, but, if you had a period after you were sexually active, it's unlikely that you're pregnant.

Still, better to put your mind at east and take a pregnancy test. :)
