I have a lady in my life, who was, for the most part, understanding.

Recently, however, she has gotten to the point where, when she wants something, she will constantly talk about it, and unless she gets the answer that she wants, or what she wants, she will call me "mean" and callous. (Not the exact words, but they get the point across).

I try and support her in what she is doing, developing a new career path.

When she gets upset and says some very unpleasant things, it is "her standing up for herself". If I say anything to counter it, and say that I am standing up for MYSELF, I get "no you aren't you are just being mean".

I have actually had to start taking up smoking and went from 0 to 1 pack a day so far just to calm myself down to deal with the situation.

There are little ones involved, and I don't want them getting hurt.

What do I do?
