I have a 1844 dollar coin and would like to know it's value.

It depends on the condition. If you can see all the ridges in the stars and other detail, not a lot of wear, $300+; if even better, the sky's the limit.
If more worn, it depends on how worn.
(Beware of counterfeits if it looks too new.)
