    Infected earrings
I have had my ears pierced for at least 6 months now. I really want to take my earrings out for good, but recently my ears have gotten infected and a bit swollen. Since I've had them for 6 months and the holes aren't new, can I take my earrings out for good and let them naturally heal? Or do I have to make them better first? P.s. I think they're infected because I'm allergic to the earring a little bit.

IF you want your holes to grow over than take out your earrings and heal the infection. A topical anti-biotic like polysporin, peroxide, or what not will help the infection pass. Keep the area clean and dry.

You could be having a reaction to the metal, but it is more likely the area got dirty, cracked, dirty, or what not and a infection started. It is really hard to say. If you really want to know talk to your doctor or your piercer.
