How long does landlord have to replumb the house
I live in California and I'm wondering how long does my landlord have to replumb the house.I say replumb because the plumbing underneath the house was never redone when we moved in,only the outer pipes. The bath tub gets clogged now and there is a slow leak outside as well as the plumbing for the washer is starting to leak. Now,I've been told that in some cases that it can take a day or two to replumb the house. So,if it would take a couple days to fix,is the landlord held reliable should we have to stay at a motel. The landlord is and has been aware of the faulty plumbing from the start and had a worker come out to look at the problem. That was months ago,now I just can't continue to buy drano thinking this will remedy the situation.Basically my ? Is how many days is it legal for me to wait for this to be fixed before I get my own professional plumber and deduct it from the rent.
