I have an older PC that I recently formatted and upgraded to Windows 98. I added a modem but I don't have the driver. I usually use driver wizard that identifies the all hardware and their respective drivers. But it gives me this error- Invalid Point Floating Operation. Anyone know of another good free driver program that I can use to find the modem's driver? It will have to be able to allow me to upload the result via another P.C.-I can't use this one.

This may not be the answer you are looking for but...

I do a lot of rebuilding older computers and often the only way to get proper driver is to pull out the card and read the number of the chipset. Sometimes you're lucky and there will be a sticker on the card that details exactly what the modem is i.e. make and model. If you don't have that then look at the largest chip on the card and note the numbers/letters. Take that info and plug it into Google along with the word "drivers".

That's a good idea. :D It turns out the modem does have a sticker on it. It has the Product Number: 661749-81 and the SN Number:220ZB427L5HO. When looking for the driver, which do I use? Thanks a lot for your help-never even thought of looking on the modem itself :o
