    Whirlpool Washer remove back?
I have a Whirlpool washer that I have a bad inlet valve, as water keeps on running into the washer, even when the cord is removed from the outlet. I have the replacement valve asembly but haven't quite figured out how to remove the back of the machine to get at the old valve. I found the 2 screws at the bottom of the back panel and removed them, but panel appears to have to slide uppwards to get the panel off. It won't go! DoI have to remove the top to get it to slide up and if so, how do I go about that? Model WTW5300SQ2

These should help you, but what I do is to look at it and take out the screws I see holding it together. You should just take a putty knife and slide the blade between the top and bottom parts on either side of front of machine. As you push in you will feel the springiness of the clips. Just push in on clips and lift top and you will see water valves attached to back.
