Ok so this year I started high school and I met this guy. Just as I was about to tell my friend I might like him, she told me she already did. So I just moved on, whatever. But me and him started to get really close, we messaged every night till the point where we had to say goodnight. Soon my friend started to like someone else, so she didn’t like him anymore. He always hugs me and gives me compliments. He is always being flirty with me. Everyone thinks we like each other. But he when I asked him who he liked, he said he liked a girl he already knew, a girl he just met, then me... third place. I’m not sure if he realized that that hurt me. Like how would you feel if I said I liked you third best cause the others are more attractive...
Anyway, I just need some advice cause I can’t take it anymore! I haven’t told anyone, my friends are just too annoying to tell so I’m relying on you. If you are seeing this, please, please, please write something... anything.

So if this guy is all flirty with you, giving you hugs, yet he says he lies someone one else, that does not make him look too good. That kind of game is he playing. Maybe he was just kidding and does like you, or he his toying with you. How old is this guy?

Oh goodness. He does not know what he wants. He probably likes you and does not have a clue. Just be friends with him. You have not known him that long and you guys are pretty young.

Truetrue, kk and something else... last night he asked out the girl he likes, and she rejected him... he was being like extra nice to me today. He liked hugged me every five seconds every time we were with each other...

He was rejected by the girl he likes now he's hugging you. He is making you the rebound.

Rejected or not, you don't give your heart to someone who has more feelings for others than he has for you. You moved up to #2, but that's not good enough. Keep him at a distance as a friend, no matter how long he hugs you.

Text him and say your not interested in being part of his game... if he wants to be friends with you, perfect! If he wants to be more than that then, you shouldn't be a third choice. You deserve better than that... tell him how much it hurts to be played like that

I UNDERSTAND what you are going through, I went through this freshman year. The I liked was in the same stuff I was, you think to yourself "ah! perfect match" well sweetheart, find out what you two interests are FIRST because if you guys get together and find out you guys aren't right for each other, then you have to go through the pain of the breakup. Don't JUMP THE GUN! Just sit back and find out what he is like. I waited three years to find out what the guy I liked, luckly he was a good match but other times I didn't wait and those relationships went down hill very quickly. He might flirt, but that's what guys do at that age. Very so often you will find a true gentleman in high school. Don't go look for "Mr. Perfect" let him come to you. :)
