Rules to apply for child support australia birth certificate
Does the mother have to have a birth certificate of her child as proof to claim child support from me the father? Because two weeks ago I found that the child's birth certifiate states "Father unkown" of which I was stunned.
If a birth certificate must be produced to show I'm the father how could it be processed as me the father when my name is not on the certifiate? I'm very confused and cannot afford a lawyer

I'm now going to geta court order to geta DNA test from this girl to see if she's my daughter.
I've been paying child support for the last 17 years for a person that might not be my daughter and if she is my name is not on the birth Certificate

No a birth certificate does not have to be produced. It can be requested in court, when the court case is presented. If you have been paying for 17 years, is there not already a court order from 17 years ago.

Have not over 17 years you become a father to the child ?

I've always been rerjected to see the child so I've never seen her. I've not known of any court case.
As the birth certificate has "Father unkown" wouldn't that be fraud that she does know the father. And knowing the mother I wouldn't be surprised if my daughter thinks her father is dead or just no where to be found. That's why I'm going to geta court order to get a DNA for proof.
If she knows I'm the father and had the birth certificate as "Father unknown" , that's a lie so isint that either misrepresentaion or untruthfull?
