Well pump not holding prime. I have replaced the foot valve, pressure tank, and pressure switch. Could I be priming it incorrectly?

You will generally unscrew the plug (maybe a pressure gauge) on the top of the impeller cage and fill with water until it overflows. When that is done, give it a few minutes and just watch. The water level should hold and not drop.
There might also be a cap near where the wellpipe goes into the well that can be unscrewed and used to fill the wellpipe with water. Again, if you have that, then give it a few minutes after you fill it to be sure the water level holds.
If you can't hold prime then you installed a bad foot valve, No ne4ed to pull the well point to replace it. Simply install a check valve on the pumps suction line. Now try your prime. Better now? Good luck, TomQuote:
