My chest has felt heavy all day and every few hours I get a slight pain in the area of my heart. I can't take deep breaths, instead it's just a normal amount of breath. Should I be concerned?

This is really something you have to decide. If you're concerned, then go to the hospital and get checked. I'd be on the "better safe than sorry" side of the argument. But really, no one here can tell you if this is something serious, or just gas. It's up to you to determine what to do about this, and how concerned you are about it.
