The washer is a top loader. It started with a whisling sound and I noticed that it was not agitating properly on fast/regular so I put it to gentle/regular and it was OK for a short time. Then I noticed some water coming out from under the washer. Now it is having a problem agitating on gentle/regular. It spins and fills with water just fine. It's the agitation and the water on the floor that I am worried about. Could this be the transmission. I don't know how old this washer is so would it be worth fixing or buying new? I better mention that I would be trying to fix it and it is located in the laundry room in a mobilehome( not a lot of room)
