    Paying petitioner attorneys fees
I was charged with DV on the mother of my daughter. Now she's modifying my custody time with my daughter and asking for $5000 attorneys fees. Attorney helped her get the RO against me. How can I fight paying the fees? Please advice.

Consult an attorney. But the likelihood is, if you are guilty of DV that she will be awarded costs.

Depends on whether the statute in your state allows the award of attorney fees with restraining orders. An award of attorney fees without a specific statute allowing them is the rare exception; most states don't.

If your state allows it, there is nothing you can do, This is a normal issue and you will pay if that is your state law
