    Sleeping problems? Is this serious?
Recently I've been suffering very, very sever nightmares. About two hours is all the sleep I've been getting recently. I've questioned my parents and they just gave me sleeping tablets. But these aren't just 'nightmares', they're disturbing, grotesque, and I don't know whether it's just a phase or whether something is seriously wrong. I won't go into details about the things I see ( I told my friend once and she was sick) but I will say I need some advice. The sleeping tablets don't work and I'm unsure whether I should ask my parents to see a psychiatrist or something like that. I don't have a clue why they started, but they did start when I began writing my newest novel which is to do with the Devil, and he has been appearing a lot in my nightmares, always torturing me...

Please... any advice you have... I need it... these nightmares are tearing me apart.

Throw out your manuscript and begin one about butterflies and flowers.

Cute, but I doubt it will fit in with the series :P

Agreed. If your book is causing you such horrible problems, then simply quit writing it. Should you continue to have bad dreams after or feel like you have other problems to work out, then try seeing a therapist a couple of times.

If you have to keep working on the book, then maybe quit writing a certain amount of time before you go to sleep. In between stopping writing and going to bed, find something to distract yourself with that will require your full attention. Maybe a show or movie or other (nice) book so that the devil isn't the last thing you're thinking about at night.
